Board of Selectmen

Pat Del Monaco (D) for First Selectman

Khris Hall (D) for Selectman

Under Pat and Khris’s leadership, New Fairfield received grants for long ignored projects, built two new schools, preserved the small town character of our community and kept taxes low. Now it’s time to put them back in office and get things done again.

Board of Finance

Dewey Moy (U), full term

Jessica Sanchez (U), full term

Rick Regan (U), to fill a vacancy

Zisan Kahya (U), Alternate

Brendan Harris (D), Alternate

The current Republican-controlled BOF defied public opinion and tried to underfund both schools and public safety. Their mismanagement of the medical reserve contributed to the largest tax increase in 25 years. It’s time to restore relevant experience and competent leadership! We want to restore the BOF to be collaborative, reasonable, and above all else dedicated to serving the town. When elected we will work on a bipartisan basis to:

  • Create a working culture that is responsive, communicative, and transparent
  • Develop budgets that keep costs down while focusing on the town’s most important needs
  • Include both short- and long-term planning when making binding financial decisions

Board of Education

Peggy Katkocin (D)

Keith Landa (D)

Dominic A. Cipollone (R)

We care about our schools and the education our children receive. We backed building two new schools and full funding for our schools. When elected we will work on a bipartisan basis to:

  • Ensure that our educational programs are fully funded and support the success of all students in a changing environment
  • Hire qualified, student-centric leaders
  • Continue to focus on programs for special needs students in the district

Planning Commission

Susan Blank (U), full term

Noel Mannion (R), full term

David M. Zeh (D), full term

Jena Alvita (D), to fill a vacancy

Christina McCartney (D), Alternate

Tom Quigley (D), Alternate

As longtime residents of New Fairfield, we have seen the town grow and develop into the place we love today. When elected we are committed to work on a bipartisan basis to:

  • Promoting a healthy mix of small businesses to serve New Fairfield residents right in their hometown

Zoning Commission

Jeff Alviti (U)

Kevin Kuczma (U)

As longtime residents of New Fairfield, we have seen the town grow and develop into the place we love today. When elected we are committed to work on a bipartisan basis to:

  • Implement our newly approved zoning regulations in a way that addresses current issues, protects our local wetlands and natural resources, and preserves our small-town feel
  • End the protracted debate about the location of the school bus lot
  • Govern in a consistent, equitable, and even-handed way meant to better our community

Zoning Board of Appeals

Robert M. Rollmann (U)

Keith Landa (D)

As observers of the actions of the current Zoning Board of Appeals, when elected we pledge to:

  • Apply the zoning regulations in an even-handed and non arbitrary fashion when reviewing appeals
  • Follow ordinances and regulations and not our personal preferences in all appeals

Board of Assessment Appeals

Tom Quigley (D)

Library Directors

Danette Onofrio (D)

Anne Marie Manz (U)

We believe public libraries should be safe, shared spaces of learning and entertainment That’s why if elected we plan to:

  • Communicate more effectively with the community about library programming, events, and available services
  • Expand the use of the libraries by offering new and innovative programs meant to serve different age groups from toddlers to seniors
